MAAP is looking to add an experienced Senior Graphic Designer (Sportswear) to our fast-growing creative team. You must have experience in designing apparel graphics and a thorough understanding of the apparel design process. Come work for a design-first brand in an amazing space in Port Melbourne. As a valued member of the Product team you will be working alongside our Creative Director, CCO and creatives to execute on-brand solutions for all apparel graphic applications for the brand. You will work with our team of product designers on solutions for jersey graphics, custom kits, internal branding, garment trims and anything product-related that may need a graphic touch.
Key Responsibilities
Work across all apparel graphic applications from casual to performance product plus trim and details.
Develop design solutions that elevate garments through interesting colour and details.
Deliver on brand and trend graphic capsules.
Work with the CD to innovate and evolve our graphic and colour direction.
Lead and inspire our junior designers
Manage on-time delivery of final artwork, tech packs and flat plan approvals
Coordinate and brief freelance artists as needed
Contribute to creative output across product, creative and marketing teams.
Remain current on industry trends local and international art, fashion, cycling and design scene
Important Qualities
5+ years of creative design experience focussing on apparel product
Strong Communication skills to enable fluid work across multiple departments
Strong Time-management skills to enable balancing competing priorities and multiple projects while meeting strict deadlines
